Prior to my inception in the optical business I attended school in my hometown of Auburn, New York. After graduating High School I entered the United States Army in 1967 and completed 2 tours of duty in the Republic of Viet Nam. After returning home I moved to Buffalo, New York where I attended Erie Community College and completed a degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing. For several years I worked as an Optician and in 1982 opened my own optical business. Several years later I became a frame rep for companies such as Liberty and Charmant.
In January of 2002 I decided to form my own company, The Optical Interchange Inc, dealing in new and used optical equipment for the three O's. My specific objective is to supply quality new and used equipment, refurbished and guaranteed as is stated in the Companies mission statement. I have since become a distributor for such companies as Ocular, Welch Allyn, Propper, and Vision Medical.
As the company continued to evolve, reaching out to a larger community has become necessary and so a website began evolving about 1 year ago. This website promises to provide our customers with quality service and equipment, and will continue to evolve as the needs of our customers does the same.
We hope to achieve a global presence in the Optical Community, and will provide for the needs of eye care professionals now and far into the future. The company, The Optical Interchange Inc, has its own Vision.
